8-22-10 Worship Service

“The anticipation that God could show up any time or any where should fill us with overwhelming excitement!”  I read this in a book recently and that is exactly how I would describe this pass Sunday’s service.  On August 22, 2010 our congregation gathered together not for the wonderful company nor for the beautiful music.  We gathered together in expectation of God not only just “showing up” but to reveal himself to each of us personally.

Open the flood Gates!

Wow is the humble way that I can describe this Sunday’s praise and worship!   This week we were encouraged to look within our hearts and reflect on our passion for God.  One song in particular registered with the hearts of all who attended this week- “ Open the Flood Gates of Heaven” sung by Pocket Full of Rocks.

Key Notes: Worship and Warfare

Did you every notice that during the same week that you have an incredible worship service or time with God it seems everything goes wrong?  You have fights with love-ones, get sick or sometimes you have the pleasure of paying for the repair of something( may  be a car or perhaps plumbing)?  It is no coincidence that we as believers have these trails.  As we know Matt 11:12 states: “And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffers violence, and the violent take it by force.”  We must understand that our battle is not a one last great stand but an everyday venture were we take up our cross, follow Christ and die to our fleshly desires EVERY DAY.

The Coffee Shop October 3, 2009

Streams of Life Fellowship is sponsoring a musical event called “The Coffee Shop” on October 3, 2009 from 6pm – 10:30pm  <click here for directions>.   All ages are welcome and admission is free.
