Honoring God in our marriages…

The ladies had a great time (of course) on Saturday! Breakfast was fantastic, our fellowship was sweet, and we covered the first two lies about marriage in our books. God designed marriage to reflect how our relationship with Him should be – complete oneness. In body, mind, spirit… no separation at all. That unity was the very thing that Satan attacked in the Garden. In comes sin and the fall of man, and with it follow insecurities, trust issues, authority issues, passivity, selfishness… all because we believed the lies of Satan!

We have so many priorities, don’t we? Our work… our kids… our bills… our husbands… our education… but tell me… exactly where does God fit into the picture? Of course our families are important – so are our careers and our budgets, but there is only one priority. For the believer, it’s God. There isn’t a close second vying for that position when Jesus is truly Lord of your life.

The snow can’t stop us, ladies!

Well, it looks like a few inches of snow can’t keep our ladies from enjoying our fellowship time! Now that we’ve dealt with the lies we believe about sin, we can stand on the Truth and know that there is no sin that God can’t forgive, and no sin too small that it’s not important to God. Furthermore, there is NOTHING more powerful than the blood of Jesus, and because of His sacrifice, we now have full authority to walk consistently in victory over sin! We are alive in Christ and no longer slaves to sin! Amen!
