The church of Jesus Christ has a significant role in the advancement of God’s kingdom. As the heart and mind of Christ, we represent Jesus to a broken and sinful world, or so we should. We as believers are to preach Christ and His kingdom, yes both! Christ and His salvation and His kingdom to which our Lord reigns over us! But, today, we don’t hear either preached. The people of God are more concerned with their own lives and how they line up to God’s plans rather than the people who don’t even know Him! An inward focus for an outward mission accomplishes nothing!
